Success Story

Pratima Ghosh, a 48 years old housewife living with her husband, 2 sons and in-laws at Barghata Village of Rajnagar Block in Birbhum District of West Bengal. Her husband is a seasonal labour who hardly gets the job of 120 days in a year and both her sons are students of high school so it was very difficult for them to laid their life with an average monthly income of below Rs 3000. Generally, the family were lacking daily minimum nutrition consumption through food and quite often they were getting ill. They needed some support to recover from their present situation. In the mean time they got introduced in the Watershed project by Tomorrows Foundation in April 2022. Pratima attended the PRA meeting and was enrolled as a beneficiary of TF Watershed programme. She got trained in making Raise Bed, Bio Fertilizer, Bio Pesticide and many other traditional agricultural practices. After training she built her Nutri Garden with the input provided by Tomorrow’s Foundation. Only after one month she started seeing the result and started to get production from her own Nutri Garden and now Pratima and her family are slowly moving towards a better life with the support of Tomorrows Foundation.
