Success Story

Before the start of the project, there were only 5-6 vegetable gardens in Khagradanga village (Under CM-II GP) and the gardens were utterly untidy. They were totally dependent on the market. After getting various training and seed inputs from the programme, the area now has 69 nutri-gardens with an average the garden size 850sq.ft.

These gardens were created following organic methods in this entirety and thus has a big impact in the beneficiers regular vegetable consumption. They are able to sell the excess production in the local market. Now the families do not need to purchase vegetables. This process has enabled them save Rs-300 per month on average.
