Success Story

Bharti Das, along with other members of Maa Singhbahini SHG of Hatkaluha village are cultivating mushrooms. She was trained on Mushroom cultivation and then started the unit with the other members of her SHG. She started with 30 cylinders (of mushrooms) which is yielding her production of around 18kg in 1 st harvesting, thereby continuing the production further. The mushroom is sold at the rate of Rs 50-80 kg per month. Bharti earned around Rs 1800 from the first batch of production and now she is running the unit with her own capital investment. Therefore, the mushroom production has resulted in becoming a sustainable and supplementary livelihood solution for Bharti and her fellow SHG
members.
